About us
The National Centre for Epidemiology (CNE) of the Carlos III Health Institute (ISCIII) aims to generate information and scientific evidence to support decision-making in public health. Its activities include epidemiological surveillance, research, training, and the provision of scientific and technical advice to the National Health System (SNS) and the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation (SECTI).
The CNE conducts monitoring, analytical, and research activities on the epidemiology of communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as their associated risk factors, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the autonomous communities, and other national and international organizations.
